Rome hadn't woken up to this in 27 years, but some say this year's flakes beat the 1985 snowfall. I certainly never remember Rome seeing anything like this before.
Here are a few images of my neighborhood and Villa Borghese, taken Saturday morning. I wish I could only portray the silence and the awe.

    Having some trouble commenting. Rome looks lovely covered in snow. Enjoy it while it lasts.

    Amazing and very pretty. It looks like a normal Minnesota winter. This year we have very little snow and only occasional painfully cold days. I hope the Romans enjoy this for its rarity. I'm sure it's a pain in the rear, though. If that guy is wearing inline skates, he's probably not too happy!
