I recently did a post on my Italian blog
FORCHETTINE in which I listed my favorite
pizza bianca shrines. A classic way to enjoy the topping-free, bread-like pizza is stuffed while still warm with gossamer slices of mortadella. In pure trastevere slang, this perfect Bologna pork delight is "mortazza." Pictured above is quintessential Roman snack,
pizza con la mortazza–or, as I like to call it–lunch.
This looks delicious - I must check out your other blog Forchettine - it sound intereting and I love food!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks very tasty! I want a bite!
ReplyDeleteA yummy photo! That looks scrumptious - wish I could give it a try!
ReplyDeleteFood shots like this are prohibited on Blogger! Yumm!
ReplyDeleteOh yummy. I love pizza and mortadella :) mmmm
ReplyDeleteI can't even tell you how often I eat pizza! But only the good stuff, not that nasty stuff made by the big American delivery chain restaurants.
ReplyDeleteWe have some nice Margherita pizzas around here, and many at happy hour prices after work. The best is a restaurant named Pazzaluna.
Heaven, pure heaven...
