  10. Does "Via dei Pastini" mean small or little pasta street?

  11. Chuck~ what you're referring to is PASTINA, which is the smallest grain pasta, usually cooked in chicken stock for children's soups.
    Via dei 'Pastini' is a plural noun. Pastino is an ancient word meaning "fertile soil, cultivated with fruit trees", and perhaps centuries ago, the narrow alley behind the Pantheon was just that.
