tevere

The Tiber river in autumn.
When many thoughts crowd my head, chores pile up, and the days seem too short for the million things I need to take care of, I walk by the river and put everything back into perspective.
See how small my shadow is on the bridge?

  1. Lovely reflection... and so true. Water always calms me, in all of its myriad forms. Have a happy weekend :)

  3. I would not have noticed your shadow had you not pointed it out. Changes everything with how I view the image.

  4. And where on the Tevere was this photo taken? Rather north from the Centro Storico, I would think.

  5. We are living in difficult times, most of us. You are right that we need to remind ourselves of larger beauties. I often forget that.

  10. Hello Eleonora. Great looking reflections and I like the way the river curves and leads up to the bridge. Rome seems like a very interesting place!

Actually this is in the heart of Trastevere, the bridge in the background is Ponte Sisto, behind Piazza Farnese (Campo de' Fiori)

Glad this was of some solace for you :(

It is, and you should com visit: there are more reflective surfaces here (river, fountains, sleek marble, etc.) than you can possibly imagine! ;)

I thought it would be cheating since I've participated with this very bridge before... but I'm very happy and honored to be part of your Sunday Bridges series!! Merci.

  14. A walk in Rome with all the history, architecture, beauty, would surely bring everything else into its right perspective! Nice bridge!

  15. Such a lovely old bridge set off by beautiful reflection in the water. I am always attracted to the old stone ones with the arches beneath. The stone wall along the right side is nice, too. A nicely composed capture. genie
