musei vaticani

  1. I remember this wall, especially since I saw so much of it. The last time my wife and I visited the museum (it's been some years) the line went almost all the way down this street.

They say some people go mad after cramming in all the art in Florence but the Vatican Museum can make you truly insane.

  2. I think you were guiding some visitors when you took these photos, n'est-ce pas? It really is an amazing museum. I love the big, bronze front doors. One of the reasons I went back to Rome this years was to see the Laocoon sculpture. Astounding.

  4. I visited this museum a few years ago but had to wait in line for ages - it was well worth it because the wealth of art-works and sculptures is amazing!

  6. Thank you for all your lovely comments. Please forgive me if I don't reply to each individually.

It was wonderful to visit the museum again, after so long. I had my little boy with me and–what a trooper–he even managed to enjoy it!
