This fairly large northern Rome apartment building, made up of 4 palazzine, has its mailboxes in the communal outside courtyard. Each walnut wood mailbox displays beautifully polished brass nametags and glass windows below each slot.

Wish I had a P.O. box as neat as those. Mine is so boring.
ReplyDeleteThese mailboxes are fine made - in Denmark mailboxes have to be placed near the road so the still fewer mailmen will reach more adresses in lesser time.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful shot. I'm curious, if you know, when these apartments were built. You don't see such beautifully crafted mailboxes like these anymore. Mine's made out of some cheap metal--oh well.
