valle dei cani

Winter morning

The vast and beautiful valley that faces the Rome Conservation Zoo in Villa Borghese is appropriately nicknamed 'Dog Heaven,' and it is an area exclusively entitled for dog play, where Fido can run free off the leash and socialize with fellow canines. Brave dog-less park-goers venture here too, but at their own risk: the grass is very well fertilized...

  7. Dog parks are great, especially in cities where there is a leash law. I can understand the care one must exercise while exercising here ... we have a litter law which is mostly abided by. However, we also have a large population of Canada geese ... I'm sure you can read between those lines. LOL!!

  11. I remember the place well.
I used to live in Via Gaetano Donizetto, only a few blocks from Villa Borghese and often walked across the park to work.
Those were the days, I can't believe I left.

  12. Nihal~ That was a single day's blessing, we're back to horribly cold temps, grey skies and light drizzles.. :(
    Unknown Mami~ It's a minefield out there...
Merisi~ You lived very close to my house! Why DID you leave??? Torna presto...
